On May 1st, a group of Hotelies set a new world record by creating a 1,315-foot long spring roll in Barton Hall, in an event called “Roll for Relief”.
Individual portions were sold for $5 each, and the proceeds donated to tsunami relief. In total, the group of 100 volunteers raised over $20,000 for the Tzu Chi Foundation.
Wegmans (the best grocery store in the world) donated 250 pounds each of carrots and cucumbers, and 80 pounds of lettuce. Read more at the Daily Sun.
