According to this recent press release, two Cornell teams were recently honored for their “outstanding achievement in the use of visual media to promote understanding of research results and scientific phenomena.”
I genuinely enjoyed listening to some of the animal sounds on http://www.animalbehaviorarchive.org, a website created by four staff members at the the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology which took the second place award in the Interactive Multimedia category.
Sorry, you need RealPlayer to view/listen to some clips, and Quicktime for others, but listening to these Hawaiian birds is almost like a trip to the islands.
The website, Cardiac Bioelectricity and Arrhythmias, created by Flavio Fenton and Elizabeth Cherry at the Vet School received an honorable mention in the same category.
